The Québec International Air Show is definitely a day that families will remember. As the best of the best take to the skies to perform for the public, thousands of people stare up from the tarmac below and take in this wonderful aerobatic performance. This annual event is much anticipated by a large number of Canadian citizens and this year promises to be one of the best air shows yet.

The 2008 Québec International Air Show is set to take place between the 13th and 15th of June. Elite air teams from four different countries including Canada will be taking part in the event. While Canada’s Snowbirds will no doubt continue to be the favorite spectacle in its home skies, the French Patrouille de France, the British Blue Arrows and the American Blue Angels Thunderbirds are all promising a spectacular contribution to the show. The air show has been running for quite a few years now and has been growing in popularity with the passing of each successful show. This year will mark the first year that air teams from all four of these countries (Canada, America, France and Britain) will take part in this great family-orientated event.

In addition to providing an amazing spectacle for young and old, much of the festival proceeds will go towards the Maurice Tanguay Foundation. The Foundation provides much needed help for sick and disabled children and much of the work it does is funded by various annual fundraising events such as the Québec International Air Show in Canada. There is also a cycle race, a golf day and an annual fête which are all well supported and go a long way to providing funding for this excellent foundation.

The Québec International Air Show will be taking place at the airport and has been sponsored by Familiprix, Tanguay, Pepsi, Labatt and Ultramar Bell. Shuttle services will be available to provide transport between the parking lots and terminals and food and alcohol will be available on site. Though there are no special access points for the handicapped, provisions have been made for any handicapped individuals wishing to attend. Those wishing to attend should remember to pack in their credit cards, since you cannot bring your own beverages or coolers with you onto the site, so any refreshments you may need will have to be purchased. Why not join in on all the fun with your family this June? It is bound to be an event to remember!
