Bombardier Challenger 890 for Corporate Travel

Bombardier, leading manufacturer of innovative aircraft, have delivered the first Bombardier Challenger 890 to Suncor Energy Inc., a major North American oil sands developer with headquarters based in Calgary. The new Challenger 890 will join the Challenger 850 which has been in operation as a Suncor Energy corporate shuttle since March 2006. The addition of the new Challenger airplane is not only an indication of the company’s growth, but is also a reflection of their confidence in Bombardier to meet their transportation needs.

The versatile design of all Challenger corporate shuttle models provides buyers with a choice of three floor-plan designs to accommodate business requirements. Numerous galley and toilet facility options are available. All models feature a flat floor, stand-up cabins and a 31-inch pitch between the seats.

The Challenger 890 is designed to accommodate 90 passengers in the economy class seating of its standard cabin configuration. Alternatively, the split cabin option offers seating for 52 passengers, made up of executive-style seating and cabin furnishings in the forward cabin with economy class seating in a four-across configuration in the aft cabin. The deluxe cabin configuration features three per row business class seating for 52 passengers.

The Bombardier Challenger 890 aircraft has a cruise speed of 872 km/h with a range of 3,774 kilometers (2,038 nautical miles) carrying 52 passengers. Under favorable conditions, the Challenger 890 can fly up to a distance of 3,204 kilometers (1,730 nautical miles) with a full load of 90 passengers on board.
