Looking for a great place to take the whole family early next year? Then look no further than the 2009 Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow. This great event will combine the thrills and spills of classic aerial combat with cars, ground theatre, good food and more. Certainly the whole family will no doubt find something worthwhile at this great event.

This is definitely an air show with a difference. Every year the event organizers choose a special theme to give the show a dynamic edge. In the past this has included “North Africa”, complete with a pyramid and belly dancers, “France”, with its Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and berets, and an “Aviation and the Movies” theme. The 2009 Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow is set to experience an Italian invasion with fantastic Italian food combined with glamorous sports cars. Giving the air show a theme provides a unique sense of fun and humor which goes a long way towards making the Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow the great event that it is. The members of the public are drawn in through the various things of interest at the show and the bridge between airplane lovers and other members of the general public is bridged for a weekend.

Of course, no Omaka Classic Fighters show would be complete without the classic aircraft and the wonderful displays that go with it. The show will take visitors on a journey through the pages of history in a lively and entertaining way. The WW1 flying displays will see Fokker Triplanes, SE5as and Sopwiths take to the sky for some exciting dog fights, while Krupps cannons are fired from behind a WW1 tank on the ground. Mix in some great pyrotechnics and you’ll soon find yourself unable to stop watching! Then it’s off to WW2, with Spitfires, Mustangs, Kittyhawks, Harvards, DC3s and a PBY Catalina all booked for the 2009 show. This combined with great formation aerobatics displays, great food and wine and delightful little trade stalls, all help to make the Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow an unforgettable experience. Children are not left out and there is a great play area to keep them busy for hours. The 2009 Omaka Classic Fighters Airshow is set to take place on April 10-12, so don’t miss it!
