All lovers of aviation should make every effort to attend the Biggin Hill International Air Fair. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people flock to the Biggin Hill Airport to enjoy this fantastic hodge podge of aircraft from all over the world. Over the course of two days they will be able to see aircraft on the ground and in the air and participate in a host of entertaining and family-orientated activities.

The Biggin Hill International Air Fair has a reputation for being the largest privately organized air show in the whole of Europe. As such, it is also one of the most famous aviation events in existence. Biggin Hill Airport provides the perfect location for the event, since it itself has a long and interesting aviation history. For one thing it was used as a World War Two fighter station and so it is home to a number of grand old aircraft. The airport’s gates open at 9am in the morning and many visitors get here early to take in as many of the ground activities as possible before the flying displays start at 12pm. The flying display is five and half hours long and there is never a moment where the skies do not feature at least one aircraft entertaining the crowds with death-defying aerobatics.

As if the massive mixture of antiquated and brand new aircrafts wasn’t enough to draw in the crowds, the RAF is a regular feature of the event. This year will certainly be no different as the RAF has once again given top priority to this fantastic annual event and will be performing their famous Role Demonstration yet again. The Avro Vulcan Bomber will also be making an appearance worth seeing.

Tickets for this fantastic event, which will be taking place between the 7th and 8th of June, have been on sale since mid March and will continue to be available until the time of the event. These tickets can be booked in advance either online or through the ticket office, so get yours now to guarantee your place at this spectacular air show!
