FAA has Decided to Review Eclipse Light Jets
Responding to complaints that the certification of several Eclipse 500 very light jets may not have been properly tested, the Federal Aviation Administration has decided to conduct a somewhat unusual 30-day review of the aircraft. The aircraft in question were certified in 2006 despite objections raised by engineers who were still testing the high-tech jets.
SSJ100 Is Russia’s First Paperless Aircraft
When most of us picture airplanes, we think of gleaming metal or super light carbon-derived materials. Very few of us think of the copious amounts of paper that are usually used up during the design phase of creating an aircraft. For years now, aircraft design has slowly become more and more computerized – so much so that Russia has just announced the creation of their first paperless aircraft.
The Great New England Air Show This September
The Westover Air Force Reserve Base is the largest of its kind in the country and is home to the 439th Airlift Wing, which is an Air Force Reserve Command unit. Here the staff operates sixteen C-5A and C-5B aircraft and there are approximately two thousand five hundred reservists with the 439th Airlift Wing at Westover Air Force Base. In honor of their sixtieth anniversary celebrations, the Westover Air Force Base will be hosting The Great New England Air Show on the 6th and 7th of September 2008, an aerial extravaganza filled with wonderful activities and attractions that should not be missed.
