Airplanes Apparel

All pilots and most hobby enthusiasts out there know that you need special gear if you're going to pilot an aircraft. While the average person who owns and flies their own aircraft may not need a special flight suit that automatically applies pressure to the lower body parts to slow down the flow of blood in those body regions and ensure a steady supply of blood to the brain whilst flying at incredibly high speeds with amazing g-force ratios, most pilots will needs fairly specialized gear of some sort.

For those piloting small aircraft with thin shells or even microlight owners, a well padded and insulated flight suit is a must. With virtually no seams and zippers, it keeps the cold out and makes the flying experience more enjoyable. For those with a more luxurious private aircraft, a good flight jacket is ideal. It not only provides numerous pockets which are handy for stashing away maps, compasses, candy bars and whatever else you think you may need, but it is warm and well constructed. In addition, the basic design may have gussets or may just be specially cut to allow for maximum movement and comfort whilst flying. Usually these jackets are made of a silky fabric to allow for extra fluid movement. In addition to jackets and flight suits, special pants, shoes and gloves may be required. And of course, vintage gear may go down well when piloting a vintage aircraft – especially at air shows!
