Uncle Sam,

Have you actually been to or lived in America?

How can you be so patriotic to a country that you have absolutely no link to whatsoever? I think you should grow up a little.

djelfa, I doubt that you have no feelings one way or another about countries you have never visited. I'm sure that there are countries out there that you have feelings about that you have never set foot on. Give the kid a break, and stop being hypocritical. Everyone has feelings about things that they have never experienced personally...I too am guilty of this, as I'm sure you are.

I personnally don't think I am a hypocrite.......before i say anything, this is not a post against America.... There is one thing admiring a country....but there is another thing showing blind patriotism to a country that you have never even set foot in before or have any family connections to.

i have two nationalities and eligible for a third. I am a bit patriotic but I think it is just stupid to say you would die for a country over your own just because you listen to rap music and watch Top Gun.

yes,,,,there are countries I admire,,,,but I reserve feelings of patriotism for my own countries... there is a difference.

If I remember correctly, I think his dad is American and works for Lockheed...I could be wrong though...maybe that explains it a bit....but being patriotic because of Top Gun sounds fine with me...that movie kicks ass.

Well I can't say America is my fatherland, simply because my father ain't from there. I have some other fealings towards America that are much stronger than patriotic. Don't make me be Reinhard, because I would do everything for USA and just for USA.
