I can tell you about the air CADETS in my community. You go there and sign up. You are expected to go there every week and be bossed around by little punks half your size. Be sure not to punch the little punks because you will be kicked out of air cadets! Then you do some pretty pointless stuff which doesnt help you in flying or in life. Then (if your lucky) you will get 15 min of instruction in a glider per year. Maybe after 5 years you will be in a position to get a pilots liscense but not before then. I suggest you dont join air cadets because I see it as a waste of time. But thats just my opinion.

I personally dont know anything about it but if its even a lttle bit like what red describes it to be I would really hate it...especially the little punks part.

Everything that red said is 100% true. I joined 2 years ago and in half a year i quit! I got to go for like a 20 min ride in a tow plane and he woundn't even let me take control for a min!!!

p.s I still have the uniform (opps!)
