Hi, I used to play many fighters simulations on PC, they are very realistic. But one problem is I cannot survive went my jet was aimed and shot but enemy missiles. I tried to use "Chaff" and "Flare" to misdirect those missiles but finally I still get caught. So I want to ask that what a real jet pilot does to avoid enemy missiles. Please contact me if anyone of you know. Thank you my pal.

If a real jet pilot wants to avoid enemy missiles, he usually quits and joins the U.S. Postal Service
.You could try outrunning them I guess. Or you could perform some fancy aerobatics a la 'Airport '80'. Or, if you really want to get down-and-dirty, you could hide under a Douglas DC-9 passenger jet and let the missiles hit that instead a la Itavia 870. "Kids, don't try this at home. Peforming aerobatics in a supersonic passenger airliner or hiding beneath a Douglas DC-9 could be upsetting to others."

He he. Ok, according to http://bf2tracker.com/bf2_gameinfo.p...tutorials&id=7 (which is the best I could do in a hurry), some tips for avoiding missiles in air combat situations:
1) Banking hard in either direction will reduce your chances of being hit. 2) Looping (pulling up suddenly and flipping the plane on its back, then pulling out - I've tired this and it usually works well). 3) Flying low over the ground/water (this works well too, but if you don't pull up soon enough you could be in a lot of trouble). Looping is a good thing. It usually works (4 times out of 5 at least) and it's not too hard to do. Flying low is a good tactic as well but hitting the ground is NOT .Hope THIS helps.
