As Santa's workshop was humming with activity the telephone rang. It was an FAA inspector reminding Santa that he was due for his annual checkride. So Santa had the elves wash the sled and bathe the reindeer while he reviewed his logbook and made sure it was in order. Two days later, the FAA man arrived. He walked all around the sled, checking the harnesses, the runners, etc. Then he asked to see the weight and balance calculations for the Christmas Eve flight. Finally, he said, "Let's take a ride." As they boarded the sleigh, Santa noticed the inspector was carrying a hugh shotgun. "What's that for?" Santa gasped. "I'm not supposed to tell you this," he winked, "but you're gonna loose one on takeoff!"
