Why don't you guys try a virtual airline first and see if that's really the way you want to go. Personally, I think you'd be better off just holding down a one man/one plane job than an airline. I think you could probably make more starting like that. Just do bush flying for a while and charge the drunnks extra
That's one of the reasons they go hunting, right? Anyways, it was just a thought. Good luck

A good landing is one you can walk away from. A GREAT landing is when you can use the plane again tomorrow.

wat do u mean by starting a virtual airline?...hmm..i was thinking of starting with a small private jet like maybe of it and fly business people around..and expand slowly until eventually i get to start of with a commercial airline with a a320 or boeing 737-800...i am still waiting for someone to post something that will be a great opportunity for me...ive already designed the logo and paint job and come up with an idea for the interior and the extremely comfortable economy seat that will revolutionise the economy class travelling...sorry to be boasting..ill stop now...hmm,,could u explain a little more on that reply please?..THANKS ALOT!!!!

Post Not too sure about bizjet...

If I were you I'd start out with something small, such as a couple of twin engined Cessnas or Pipers...then expand into large twin props. like the Beech King Air's...business jets are hard to maintain and to run economically, especially if you are a fledgling airline. Second-hand aircraft, or leased aircraft would be a better alternative...wet leasing is more expensive then dry but you get the crew and the facilities along with the aircraft; always a good idea. Just a suggestion, mind you. What do I know about starting an airline, ey?

A virtual airline is an airline that exists only in the digital world. It's a glorified addition to the flight simulator series is basically what it is. However, some of these airlines treat their "business" just as the real airlines do. They're hard on schedules and they require hours just like the big boys do. You'll often find real airline pilots in these virtual companies and they can also give you some pointers if they can help. Just a suggestion. I "flew" for a while for an airline called "Mountain Air Caro." It was an interesting experience. You can check it out at http://www.mountain-air.org . Good luck.
