Gulfstream/Sukhoi S-21

In the 1990s a co-agreement between Gulfstream and the Russian company Sukhoi would result in the building of a 'SSBJ' (supersonic business jet) known as the S-21. But for some reason the project was canceled. Surely, the commercial failures of both the Brittish/French Concorde and the Soviet Tupolev Tu-144, not to mention the shut down of the Boeing SST (2707) project could not have forced the cancelation? If anyone has any information, images or anything of the like such as artist impessions or models, it would be greatly apprietiated.
