Billed as “The World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration,” AirVenture Oshkosh is certainly the world’s best-known fly-in and airshow event. It began in 1953 and now boasts more than 600,000 attendees. For many participants, the most exciting part of the event is flying to AirVenture and camping beside their airplanes. In 2006, nearly 10,000 aircraft arrived at Oshkosh from all over the world.
Daily air shows feature numerous war birds and popular civilian aircraft. Airshow demonstrations by outstanding pilots such as Patty Wagstaff ensure exciting and memorable performances.
