Arctic Thunder 2010
The Elmendorf Air Force Base will be the host of the Arctic Thunder 2010 air show, and will take place from the 31st of July to the 8th of August 2010. Performers such as the Canadian Forces Snowbirds Demonstration Team and the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, will be participating in this years’ event, so spectators can look forward to a host of spectacular aerial demonstrations and fast paced performances.

Houdini Centenary Air Show 2010
On 20 March 2010, the air space above the Melton Airfield will be filled with spectacular aerial demonstrations and exciting exhibition flights. It is here, at the Houdini – Centenary Air Show, that tribute will be paid to the first controlled powered flight, which was recorded in Australia, by Harry Houdini. Visitors to the air show can look forward to air craft such as the Tiger Moth, Winjeel, P51 Mustang, Hawker Sea Fury, Moth Minor and P40 Kittyhawk. Static aircraft displays will also have a large variety of airplanes to view, including a Piper Cub Special (1949) and a Gipsy Moth (1925).

ICAS Convention 2009
The ICAS Convention, or International Council of Air Shows, was inaugurated in 1967, and each year, show professionals get together at the convention to network amongst each other, plan upcoming air shows and to bounce new ideas off one another. It is expected that over 1 500 community member of the aviation industry will be in attendance, and will feature educational sessions, private concerts, workshops and banquets. The exhibition hall will offer thousands of air show related products and stands.

Observe the Marvelous Skills of the Blue Angels
The goal of the Blue Angels is to serve as positive role models and goodwill ambassadors for the United States Navy and Marine Corps, while at the same time promoting the recruiting efforts of these essential services. The Blue Angels showcase their skill and the capability of their airplanes in 66 air shows during a season with an average of 15 million spectators watching them perform. Since their inception in 1946 the Blue Angels have performed for over 427 million awe-struck fans.
