Prague is located within an approximate eight hundred kilometer radius of all general aviation activity in Europe, and it therefore appropriately known as the heart of European aviation. It is also the perfect location for an aviation expo, as it is near or en route to most destinations on the continent. A popular destination for tourists, Prague has been nicknamed the “Golden City” and the “City of a Thousand Spires”. The cobblestone streets, historic buildings and noteworthy sites have grown a lucrative tourism industry, hence it is the ideal destination for expos such as the AeroExpo Prague 2008.

The AeroExpo Prague 2008 will be held at the Pribram Airfield, fifty kilometers outside Prague, from the 25th to the 27th of April 2008. Organizers have ensured that there will be coaches available to transport exhibitors from Prague to the airfield throughout the duration of the expo. It is an international event that attracts exhibitors from various countries and this year, seventy seven exhibitors have already confirmed their attendance at the expo.

Some exhibitors fly aircraft to the expo, and visitors can look forward to seeing a great variety of aircraft at the AeroExpo Prague 2008, such as ultralight aircraft, business aircraft and home built airplanes. The 1 450 meter tarmac runway is able to accommodate all airplanes, including jets, making it easier for exhibitors to bring their products to the expo. Some of the exhibitors include Addagrip Surface Treatments UK Limited (United Kingdom), Aviation & Sports Magazine Russia (Russia), Cirrus Design Corporation (United States of America), Composit Airplanes (Czech Republic), EADS Socata (France), ExtrAviation (Belgium), Paddy’s Bar (Europe), Pilot und Flugzeug (Germany), Vulcanair SPA (Italy), Remos Aircraft GmbH (Austria), Kanardia D.O.O (Slovenia), Hungarian Aircraft Technology (Hungary) and Griffair Adriatic Helicopter Services (Montenegro).

All aspects of aviation can be explored at the expo, such as the aircrafts themselves and their manufacturers, aviation services, equipment, service providers, distribution, maintenance, overhaul, repairs, suppliers, training, flight schools, helicopter manufacturers, pilot accessories and clothing, parts and spares, software, and simulators. There will also be daily educational seminars and facilities, including a restaurant, conference centre, bar, internet café and hotel. The products and exhibitors at the AeroExpo Prague are guaranteed to keep visitors entertained for hours. Between browsing through the exhibition, there will be breathtaking air shows and demonstrations that will definitely thrill the spectators.
