Aero India has not been established very long yet it is already growing so much in size that this year it will officially be the biggest air show in Asia. The event is organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Government of India in association with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Department of Space, the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Union Ministry For Civil Aviation.

Aero India is a biennial air show that is held in Bangalore, India. It takes place at the Yelahanka Air Force Station and sees hundreds of different aircraft and aircraft manufacturers gather to take part in the event. The first edition of the event took place in 1996, so the upcoming show will be the 9th edition of Aero India. Ever since the first event, Aero India has been working hard to carve a niche for itself on the global market. Every successive year has been more and more successful, with the result that the 2009 Aero India event is scheduled to have 289 Indian companies and 303 foreign companies participating in the event. Countries included in 2009 Aero India include Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Britain, Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Italy, Israel, Norway, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, Netherlands, Sweden, South Africa and the United States. China will also be participating in the event for the first time this year.

The 7th edition of Aero India will continue with previous traditions, showcasing the best in aviation under one roof. Both static and flight displays will be used to display the various civil and military aircrafts and products, and a number of vendors and suppliers will be on hand to give you more information about their products and facilitate purchases. With recent developments in the Indian aviation sector, numerous opportunities for investment have opened up, so the 7th edition of Aero India will also present global investors with a great platform to explore new options. The 2009 Aero India event will take place from February 11-15, 2009. If you love aircraft or are involved in the industry, you will know that Aero India is an event that just cannot be missed.
