SSJ100 Is Russia’s First Paperless Aircraft

Very few of us think of the copious amounts of paper that are usually used up during the design phase of creating an aircraft. For years now, aircraft design has slowly become more and more computerized – so much so that Russia has just announced the creation of their first paperless aircraft.

The Great New England Air Show This September

The Westover Air Force Reserve Base is the largest of its kind in the country and is home to the 439th Airlift Wing, which is an Air Force Reserve Command unit. Here the staff operates sixteen C-5A and C-5B aircraft and there are approximately two thousand five hundred reservists with the 439th Airlift Wing at Westover Air Force Base. In honor of their sixtieth anniversary celebrations, the Westover Air Force Base will be hosting The Great New England Air Show on the 6th and 7th of September 2008, an aerial extravaganza filled with wonderful activities and attractions that should not be missed.

NASA Spends $25M to Explore Earth

The name NASA is usually associated with space exploration, but it seems the association is aiming a little lower with its most recent project – the purchase of two unmanned aircraft for use in long-duration, high-altitude Earth science missions.
