The goal of the Blue Angels is to serve as positive role models and goodwill ambassadors for the United States Navy and Marine Corps, while at the same time promoting the recruiting efforts of these essential services. The Blue Angels showcase their skill and the capability of their airplanes in 66 air shows during a season with an average of 15 million spectators watching them perform. Since their inception in 1946 the Blue Angels have performed for over 427 million awe-struck fans.

The Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA), also known as Langkawi Air Show, which takes place every two years on the island of Langkawi in Malaysia, has become one of the world’s major air shows. The Langkawi Air Show will be held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Center, situated close to the Langkawi International Airport in Malaysia, from 4 to 8 December 2007. With the emphasis being on defense, some of the events will be exclusively for VIPs, trade visitors and uniformed personnel as well as the press, but many of the exciting exhibitions, aerial and aerobatic displays will be open to the public.
Pay a Visit to the Fascinating Helicopter Museum
The Helicopter Museum, located in Weston-super-Mare on the south-west coast of England, is the largest all-weather undercover attraction in the area. The museum offers fun for the whole family, with a coffee shop, gift shop and children’s play area. Of course, the whole reason for visiting the Helicopter Museum in the first place is to see the helicopters, and visitors will not be disappointed. Exhibitions display a wide variety of items, documents and books related to helicopters as well as an impressive line-up of beautifully restored helicopters from different time periods and different countries.
Aviation Nation: Heritage to Horizons
The Las Vegas air show, Aviation Nation, which takes place at the Nellis Air Force Base is one the largest public events in Nevada, USA. It is also one of the most entertaining and diverse events, showcasing a large variety of aircraft. The 2007 show, taking place from 10 to 11 November, will be a salute to Air & Space power by hosting the grand finale of the year long United States Air Force’s 60th Anniversary celebrations.
