The Red Bull Air Race World Series
The initiative began deep in the Red Bull sports ideas ‘think tank’; within this hub, a vast range of exciting events began to transform sports across the world. The Red Bull Air Race is one of those initiatives and it became a reality in 2001. Two years later it debuted at the AirPower in Zeltweg in Austria with six of the most renowned pilots participating and making the event a huge success. This ensured a future for ‘air racing’.
Autogyros – A Unique and Useful Aircraft
On 9 January 1923, the first Autogyro took to the air at the Cuatro Vientos Airfield - a small airport in Spain, and with the launch a new breed of aircraft was the created. Flown by its inventor Juan de la Cierva y Codorniu, the autogyro would become known by names such as Gyroplane, Rotaplane and Gyrocopter, and even though it flies with the support of a rotor the autogyro is more akin to a type of aircraft and not a helicopter.

The movie, The Aviator, was released on the 14th of December 2004 at the premiere held in New York City. Martin Scorsese directed The Aviator film, a movie adapted from a book written by John Logan, a well-known playwriter.
Landing Fees: Sometimes Punishment, Sometimes Reward
Landing fees - the amount charged by an airport to a plane’s owner for the privilege of that plane landing on their runway. Not every airport charges landing fees, particularly small, municipal airports. And even at larger airports, airplanes owned by aviation schools and/or their student pilots are often exempt from the fee.
